Dr Behrad Samadi MD FEBO is an ophthalmic surgeon with a special interest in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He has worked at Dr. Foley's Eye Clinic in George Town alongside Dr Foley since 2018. He qualified in medicine at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, trained in ophthalmology at St Erik Eye Hospital and completed a glaucoma fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology and has published research and co-authored a book chapter on glaucoma.
Dr Samadi has over 10 years of surgical experience and has been involved in training and mentoring younger surgeons.
Every patient's eyes and needs are different, so Dr Samadi takes time to explain the options and plan treatment around each person.
Cataract surgery

Glaucoma care
Dr Samadi provides glaucoma care from first diagnosis to long-term follow-up. Treatment includes eye drops, laser treatment (SLT), minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and trabeculectomy or tube surgery when needed.
General eye care
Dr Samadi also manages a range of other eye conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and pterygium, with laser treatment and surgery where needed.
